Linux on the Desktop

It has been more than a month since I have started to become a convert. I am now a Gnome fan and seems to indentify myself with the gnome crowd/geeks rather than the KDE fellas. A sign that I am getting old? Not really, if you consider all the noise gnome have been making on Desktop Linux and the direction they are heading.

First we have Mono/GTK#, which is .Net on linux, and we have all the usability/accessibilty features that are popping up in gnome. We have storage (Seth’s answer to Win-FS), project utopia, and lately the Novell/Ximian/SuSE merger. Desktop Linux is now unstopable.
